Progress-Z (Zinc solubilising bacteria)

Progress Z is a bio fertilizer containing Zinc solubilizing Bacteria Thiobacillus thioxidans that converts insoluble zinc into bioavailable Zn. This product overcomes the deficiency of Zn in crops. It is formulated as wettable powder with a minimum CFU 5 x 10 7/gm.

Benefits:
Mobilizes zinc ions from the soil and makes them available for plants.
Improves both plant and soil health, aiding in soil remediation.
Increases beneficial microbes’ population in soil and improves soil health.

Recommended crops: Cereals, Millets, Pulses and Oilseeds. It can also be used for Fibre Crops, Sugar Crops, Forage Crops, Plantation Crops, Vegetables, Fruits, Spices, Flowers, Medicinal Crops, Aromatic Crops, Orchards, Ornamentals, Home & Kitchen Garden.

Composition: Thiobacillus thioxidans and carriers.

Application Protocol:
Seed Treatment – 10gms per 1 kg
Seedling treatment – organic manure slurry containing100gms of Progress-Z
Soil application – 8-10 Kgs with compost/FYM to one hectare.
Drip Irrigation – 8 Kgs per hectare.
Kitchen & Home Garden – 2 to 5 gms (1 to 3 tea spoons) with 50 to 100gms (one cup) of organic manure/fertilizer.

Mode of Action: The bacteria require inorganic molecules as electron donors and inorganic carbon (such as carbon dioxide) as a source. They obtain nutrients by oxidizing iron, sulfur and zinc with O2. Thiobacillus thioxidans uses carbon from atmospheric carbon dioxide and derive its metabolic energy by oxidation of reduced inorganic sulfur compounds or ferrous ions. Anaerobic growth happens by using elemental hydrogen or reduced inorganic sulfur compounds as electron donors and zinc ions as electron acceptors. Thiobacillus thioxidans oxidizes zinc and secretes organic acids which helps mobilize the fixed zinc and make it available to the plants. This also brings down the pH of the soil and helps in reclaiming alkaline soils.

Compatibility: It is advised to not mix with other chemicals.
