It is a biological insecticide which contains naturally occurring entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana. It contains Spores and mycelial fragments of Beauveria bassiana with a minimum CFU count of 5×107 /g and Carrier in wettable powder form.

Benefits: It controls many economically important pests such as Rice leaf folder, Helicoverpa spp, Spodoptera spp, loopers, Borers, Cutworms, Whiteflies, Aphids, Thrips and Mealy bugs. It is safe for natural enemies / beneficial insects like parasites, parasitoids, pollinators and predators and thus offers a long – lasting protection against pest attack.

Composition: Spores and mycelial fragments of Beauveria bassiana in wettable powder form with added preservatives and carrier.

Application Protocol:
Soil application – Mix 5kg of Marvel-P with 100kg of compost, incubate for 4 days and apply to the one-acre field.
Soil drenching– Mix 5 kg of Marvel-P in 100 – 200 liters of water and drench solution near root zone of crop.
Seed treatment – Mix 10 gm of Marvel-P of with 10 gm of jaggery in sufficient water to make a slurry and treat 1 kg of seeds, dry in shade for 30 minutes and sow / broadcast / dibble in the field.

Mode of action: When the caterpillars and sucking insects come into contact with Beauveria bassiana, it starts proliferating on insects, inhibits chitin synthesis and kills the target insects. Noticeably, it grows rigorously on insects and forms mummies which spread disease epizootic situation among insects that appear at later stages.
